2022 Accomplishments

2022 CAP Planning Retreat
The Board of Directors worked to solidify our organizational infrastructure, policies, procedures, etc.
The board discussed and determined goals for 2022 that would align with our mission; set timelines, accountability structures, review protocols, and success/neutral/fail criteria.

Colorado Voters for Animals
We raised and distributed funds to our sister political nonprofit for supporting animal friendly legislation.
We provided networking assistance to connect constituents to legislators for representation, research, and bill drafting.

The Annual Colorado Voters for Animals & Colorado Animal Protectors Laws for Paws Gala
We co-sponsored this annual event to award outstanding legislative work by state representatives on behalf of animal welfare.
We assisted CVA in educational efforts for upcoming 2023 legislation issues.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers (MDCS)
We partnered with MDCS by providing award monies for information leading to the apprehension, arrest, and conviction of animal abusers.

University of Denver

We provided a scholarship for students in the School of Social Work equine/animal therapy department.

Each year Colorado Animal Protectors partners with Colorado Voters for Animals in producing our largest fundraiser of the year -- the Laws for Paws Gala.
